The story of Kakawin Arjunawiwaha is the first kakawin originating from East Java. The story of Arjunawiwaha was created by Mpu Kanwa during the Airlangga government. One relief about Arjunawiwaha is located on Selomangleng Cave located in Tulungangung District. Arjunawiwaha tells the story of a giant named Niwatakawaca who wants to marry an angel named Dewi Suprabha and conquer Khayangan Suralaya. Niwatakawaca was eventually defeated in the hands of Arjuna who had previously been through a meditative process and got many exams.
Then Arjunawiwaha story is re-visualized in the form of photo stories because the fewer people who know the story of Arjunawiwaha and understand the reliefs that exist in Goa Selomangleng. The Arjunawiwaha story is transformed into a story photo from the beginning of the story of the introduction of Niwatakawaca antagonist characters to the completion of tasks that are managed by Arjuna.
The work of this story is manifested through three main stages, accumulating the collection of stock photos, then the selection and collection of photos based on the storyline, and the last editing or embodiment of the work. The total work consists of 24 frames that are assembled into 15 scenes. The whole picture explains from beginning to end the Arjunawiwaha story in sequence.
The end-use media used are digital prints on A2 size glossy paper, and a copy of CD for digital files in .TIFF format. This digital file is intended to later be published via the internet or social media.
