Innovation is a key component in increasing competitiveness. Informations of technology innovation is necessary in determining the priority of research programs that meet the needs of users. The purpose of this study was to obtain information on the type of technological innovation required by business actors to develop chrysanthemum cultivation. The study was conducted in West Java, Central Java, and Bali in January-December 2014. The selection of location and respondents was done purposively by determining as many as 45 farmers from 10 farmer groups planting chrysanthemums in each region. To know the importance level of technological innovation in the development of sustainable chrysanthemum agribusiness was used five-level Likert scale, that is very important, important, important enough, unimportant, and very unimportant. Assessment of interest is based on the approximate level of importance of a technological innovation in the development of chrysanthemum agribusiness system. The appraisal of business actors on the relative importance of different types of innovation from each agribusiness subsystem is the basis of consideration to determine the priority level in future research programs with major category, priority category, and potential category categories.
