Abstract

With Indonesia's achievement and position as a large middle-income country, Indonesia has strongly contributed to the efforts in repairing the architecture of international development assistance. It is only natural for Indonesia to increase the mechanism and implementation of SSTC. Although possessing long historical ties in cultivating cooperation with fellow developing countries, Indonesia still has not formed a solid mechanism and institution of development cooperation. This study aims to: 1) Assess and draw lessons from the implementation of SSTC by the Government of Indonesia; 2) Provide analysis through target studies on long-term planning. The study provided several recommendations for the next steps taken by the Government to strengthen its role as an active partner in development cooperation.
