Abstract

Based on the results of preliminary studies in one of high schools in Bandung City show that learning in school not accustomed students' critical thinking skills. Problem solving learning strategy with reading infusion is one of the solutions that issues. This study aims to determine of learning achievement and critical thinking skills of students after the implementation of problem solving learning strategies with reading infusion. The method in this study are pre-experiment, and the design study are One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was done in class X in one of the high schools in Bandung City. To measure the achievement of learning used multiple-choice test instruments, while for measuring the critical thinking skills, researchers using standard test instruments Cornell Critical Thinking Test. The result of this study indicate that the application of problem solving learning strategies with reading infusion can maintain the learning achievement and can identified critical thinking skills of student.
