Elementary school children are nation's assets that will play vital roles in the development of our country whose health must be prepared early, both physically and mentally. However, many elementary school children have nutrition-related health problems, such as malnutrition (stunting and wasting), overweight and obesity. Based on 2013 Riskesdas, there were nutritional problems that should become the concern of all parties involved. The prevalence of stunting in children aged 5-12 years is 30.7%, 11.2 for wasting and 18.8% for overweight cases. Many factors can be associated with nutritional problems, such as nutrition knowledge and snacking behavior. The aim of this study is to describe knowledge about nutrition, snacking behavior, and nutritional status of elementary school students at SD GMIT Kuanino, Kupang. The study was cross-sectional and involving the total samples of 148 students. The results showed that male respondents had less knowledge about nutrition than female respondents, yet males respondents had better snacking behavior that female respondents. Most respondents had a normal nutritional status (57.40%), stunting 34.50%, and obsessed 2.70%. It is concluded that even though most respondents have good snack behavior, their nutritional knowledge is still low. There needs to an on going effort to increase students' knowledge on nutrition.
