Abstract

The present study aimed to determine the optimal dose of aloe vera gel for the treatment of infected common carp with Pseudomonas aeruginosa. A total of infected spots, growth performance, Water quality were recorded for data collection. A Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 3 replications for each was applied for experimental design. One-way ANOVA was performed for statistical analysis and Tukey's test was used for posthoc test. The results showed that the highest changes in infected fish with Pseudomonas aeruginosa were found in 20% of aloe vera gel treatment (89.78%) and followed by treatment was 15% (85.48%), 10% (82.69%), control (25.4%) respectively. This finding suggested that soaking aloe vera gel at a dose of 20% promote a high survival rate of treated fish
