Effective mathematics teaching should contain elements of effective content delivery to students so that students can understand and then the information can be applied to solve various mathematical problems in various situations. The effectiveness of mathematics teaching delivery can be enhanced through the application of learning methods such as worked examples and self-regulation techniques that have been identified during the literature review. Therefore, this action research has been conducted to fulfill this purpose. Instruments used in this action research include questionnaires, Pre Quiz, Post Quiz, and Test. This study allows lecturers to adapt worked example methods and self-regulation techniques to improve students' understanding of algebra. With this, students' weaknesses in algebra can be overcome. Both of these methods have helped students understand the concept and improve their algebra solution skills better and more effectively.
