Abstract

. This paper reviews how the creative economy has started to become a topic that is considered capable of contributing more to the economy of a country and region. Starting from the establishment of the cultural activity sector and the creative industry that goes hand in hand with a wave of promotion of a country in introducing its culture, the creative industry is one sector that allows it to become a special identity of a country. The method used in this research is a comparative study, where this paper raises three cases phenomena that are currently popular in the world community: the Cool Wave (Japan), the Korean Wave "Hallyu" (South Korea), and Creative Europe (European Union). The studies showed that each of the breakthroughs carried out has at least: security from the creators perspective regulated in copyright and also the potential for the sector to develop further in the future.
