Pendidikan Karakter Bangsa pada Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus dalam Pendidikan Inklusif

Abstract

This study was intended to find out and analyzed the character education of ABK students. The methods of the research used a qualitative approach based on the theory of phenomenology. The data were collected by interviews, documentary studies and field observations. The data were analyzed using interactive patterns of data analysis, data reduction, data presentation, verification, and conclusion. The results of this study consisted of school readiness, including teachers, appropriate curriculum to the specific needs of children and other supporting facilities. National character education was done by assisting ABK students with normal students, as well as engages with compassion, motivation, giving more attention without making jealous of other regular students. Obstacles and barriers in dealing with student is that there are still some parents who do not support an inclusive program and there is no special assessment for ABK students.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pendidikan karakter siswa ABK pada pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni pendekatan kualitatif didasari teori fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan observasi lapangan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pola interaktif data yaitu proses analisis data, reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini meliputi kesiapan sekolah termasuk guru, kurikulum yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan khusus anak dan fasilitas penunjang lainnya. Pendidikan karakter bangsa ini dilakukan dengan cara mendampingkan siswa ABK dengan siswa normal, serta melakukan pendekatan dengan kasih sayang, motivasi, memberi perhatian lebih tanpa membuat cemburu siswa regular lainnya. Kendala dan hambatan dalam menangani siswa ABK yakni masih ada orang tua yang belum mendukung program inklusif, belum ada assesmen khusus untuk siswa ABK.
