Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of digital competence (e-Skills) on the performance of librarians at Hasanuddin University Library, which was held from July to November 2020 using Hasanuddin University funding sources.
Sources of data in this study are Primary Data and Secondary Data, data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires. The population of this research is all librarians at Hasanuddin University who are actively working in Hasanuddin University Libraries until 2020, as many as 48 people. This study took all librarians as respondents or total sampling due to the small population. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis to explain the frequency of each variable and simple linear regression statistical test to prove the influence of digital competence (e-Skills) on the performance of librarian (Y) at Hasanuddin University Library Unit. The results of statistical tests accept the hypothesis that there is a significant positive relationship between the digital competency variable (e-Skills) and the librarian performance variable. A regression coefficient of 0.796 indicates a strong correlation level. Research findings: Librarians' digital competence (e-Skills) is in a good category, but a small proportion of librarians have digital competence (e-Skills) below the average standard, so it is advisable to improve their knowledge and skills through Librarian training.
