Nowadays, dabt al-khafiy is less noticed by researchers, even though this characteristic is one of the differences between hasan and daif hadiths. This article will discuss the influence of al-dabt al-khafiy on determining the value of hadith. The method used in this research is the library research method. As a result, there is no special stand that shows dabt khafiyy on the narrator. As for the hadith narrated by narrator saduq or the like, it is not immediately judged as hasan hadith before the ikhtibar is carried out to find out its dabt. The saduq (honest) assessment is not called ta'dil for the accuracy of the narrator's narration but for the narrator's piety. Methods of knowing dabt that are still possible to do at this time are (1) looking at and analyzing the comments of the scholars of jarh wa ta'dil; (2) comparing the collection of hadith narrated by the narrator with other versions of the siqqah narrator; (3) compare the history of several narrators, and (4) compare the history of the old and new students.
