So for, soybean inprovement for rust resistant has not taken location in to account so that the oftimum yield has never been attained, in Indonesia soybean grown in wide sauge of envisowaments, sokese in each location different straints of rust is found. Therefore, the breeding strategy should aim as developing specific location cultivars rsisteant to soybean rust. This study was aimed at indetifying soybean lines/cultivars resistant to rush. Fifty lines/cultivars were screened for thees resistance againts rust isolat predominant in Arjasari, Bandung, in the greenhouse of the Indonesian Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetic Resources Research Institute. Discase severity was scored using combined methods of INTSOY and IWGSR. Based on the discase intensity observed, these were sevo lines 5X45(2)(25)A(39) and 14X9(5) showed moderate resistant, while the rest of the lines were moderately susceptible and susceptible. Line 14X9(5) was the least infected (46.1%) while Ringgit was the most infected (96.7%).
