Upaya Meningkatkan Motivasi Dan Keterampilan Menulis Puisi Bebas Melalui Model Pembelajaran Picture and Picture Pada Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama

: This study aims to improve: (1) the students' motivation in participating in learning writing free verse; and (2) a free poetry writing skills through the application of learning models Picture and Picture in class VIII C SMP Christian 4 Monginsidi Surakarta in the academic year 2015/2016. This research approach Action Research (PTK). The results of this study prove that learning methods Picture and Picture can increase student motivation in participating in the learning and skills of writing poetry is free from the first cycle to the second cycle. It can be seen from: (1) the students' motivation in learning to write poetry follow the pre-action students free classified in sufficient criteria with average values obtained 43.75 increase in the first cycle obtained by the average value of 66.67 and increased again in the second cycle with the values obtained an average of 83.33 which is exceptionally high; (2) free poetry writing skills in students has increased as indicated by the results of the pre-action students' average score was 70.65 with the percentage as much as 25% or as much as 5 of the 20 students who have already completed. In the first cycle the average value of students increased to 71.78 with a percentage of 45% or as much as 9 out of 20 students. This was followed in the second cycle and proved to be increased significantly, which is the average value of students amounted to 79.07 with the percentage of 85% or 17 out of 20 students who have reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM).
