With the long lasting economic crises that happened recently, both parents had to work in order that they could fulfill the needs of the family. As a result, there was less and less parents-children interaction which affected the development of the social maturity of the child. The aim of the study was to analyze the affect of parents-children interaction used playing games on the social development of the child. The method of this research was a true experiment with a cross over design. The population of this research was children and their parents in kindergarten Sumuragung village Sumberrejo Bojonegoro. Sample was consisted of 36 respondents which was collected by Stratified Random Sampling technique. Pure and impure interventions were then carried out with a cross over manner. Pure Intervention (PI) was a game in which parents and children play interactively and Impure Intervention (I I) was one in which children do no interact with their parents during the game. The free variable was the interaction with their parents through the game and the dependent variable was the social maturity of the child. The result showed that there was a significant difference between the social maturity after being given pure intervention and the social maturity when being given impure intervention , in which p= 0,024 < α 0,05. In conclusion parents-children interaction while playing games was effective in elevating the social maturity of the child. It is therefore advisable that parents spend time to interact with their children, also while playing with them.
