The aim of the study was to analyse 1) the effect of teachers' motivation on their performance, 2) the effect of teachers' discipline on their performance, 3) The effect of teachers' motivation and discipline jointly to their performance. The study was carried out at State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) in Brebes sub- district. Academic year 2011/2012 from January to March 2012. The study was descriptive using simple and double regression analyses. 155 teachers were selected as sample from a population of 255 The independent variables were thus teachers' motivation (X1), and discipline (X2). The dependent variable, therefore, was teachers' performance (Y). The results of the study showed that 1) there was a positive and significant effect of teachers' motivation on their' performance. The effect was 61,1 %. 2) there was a positive and significant effect of discipline on their performance .The effect was 55,9 %. 3) there was a joint positive and significant effect of teachers' motivation and discipline on their performance The effect was 66, 9 %. Based on the study results it was recommended that the teachers should develop their motivation in carrying out their duties as teachers, 2) the principal should support and give opportunities to the teachers in joining workshops or training in order to be able to develop their competencies, 3) researchers should continue carrying out studies with different variables to enrich teachers' knowledge and develop new ideas.
