Abstract

This research aimed at knowing the contribution of (1) training and education experience, (2) work motivation, (3) education supervision implementation, and (4) simultaneously, training and education experience, work motivation, education supervision implementation toward teacher professionalism. The population of this study consisted of 190 teachers of SMPNs in the regency of Morowali and by using Isaac and Michael table, 95 teachers were selected as the sample with random sampling technique. This research used ex-post facto design. Data was collected by questioner that was analyzed by simple regression, double regression, partial correlation and determination analysis. Research finding showed that (1) there was a significant contribution of education and training experience toward teacher professionalism as shown by linear regression equation Ŷ= 136.608+0.084X1 with the contribution of 25.4% and effective contribution of 10.94%; (2) there was a significant contribution of work motivation toward teacher professionalism as shown by linear regression equation Ŷ72.255+ 0.554X2 with the contribution of 48.9% and effective contribution of 31.43% ; (3) there was a significant contribution of education supervision implementation toward teacher professionalism as shown by linear regression equation Ŷ = 90.717 + 0.471 X3 with the contribution of 41.6% and effective contribution of 20.24% and (4) simultaneously, there was a significant contribution of education and training experience, work motivation, education supervision implementation toward teacher professionalism as shown by linear regression equation Ŷ= 60.259 + 0. 356X2+ 0.229 X3 with the contribution of 62.6%. On the basis of the findings it can be concluded that both separately and simultaneously, there is a significant contribution of training and education experience, work motivation, education supervision implementation toward teacher professionalism at SMPNs in the regency of Morowali. Therefore, the effort to improve education and training experience, work motivation, and education supervision implementation need to be given an optimal attention in the framework of teacher professionalism improvement.
