Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of perception of teachers on the principal academic supervision, supervision of school managerial control, and achievement motivation of teachers to the performance of Indonesian senior high school teachers in Gianyar regency. This study is an ex post facto study using a sample size of 57 people through proportionate random sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire and measurement variables using Likert scale models. Using statistical data analysis techniques infrensial with simple regression analysis, multiple regression and multiple correlation. Data processing performed by SPSS version 15.00 for windows. Research results indicate: (1) there is a significant contribution to the academic supervision of the principal to the performance of teachers through the regression equation Y = 104,990 + 0,343X1 with a correlation coefficient of 0.582; contribution of 33,9%; (Freg = 28.211, p < 0,05), (2) there is a significant contribution between managerial supervision supervision of schools with teacher's performance through the regression equation Y = 122,299 + 0,206X2 with correlation coefficient of 0.650; contribution of 42,3% (Freg = 40,290, p <0,05), (3) there is a significant contribution to achievement motivation among teachers and teacher performance through the regression equation Y = 34,223 + 0,723 X3 with a correlation coefficient of 0.695; contribution of 48,4%; (Freg = 51,504, p<0,05); and (4) there is a significant contribution in co-operation between the academic supervision of the principal, the principal managerial supervision, and achievement motivation through the regression equation Y = 43,165 + 0,152X1 + 0,095X2 + 0,446X3 with multiple correlation coefficient (ry-123) for 0,802, and a contribution of 64,3%; (Freg = 31,827, p<0,05); effective contribution of each independent variable is X1 = 15,08%, X2 = 19,42%, and X3 = 29.81 % and the total contribution of 64,3% effective. Based on these results we can conclude that the principal academic supervision, supervision and managerial supervision of schools contribute a significant achievement motivation separately or simultaneously to the performance of Indonesian senior high school teachers in the district of Gianyar. Thus these three variables can be used as a predictor of the performance trend of Indonesian senior high school teachers in the district of Gianyar.
