Abstract

This thesis is aimed at finding out and analyzing: (1) the contribution of the headmaster leadership to the teachers' performance, (2) the contribution of achievement motivation to the teachers' performance, (3) the contribution of the job satisfaction to the teachers' performance, (4) the simultaneous contribution of the headmaster leadership, achievement motivation, and job satisfaction to the teachers' performance at SMK Negeri 1 Bangli. The research applied an ex-post facto design with correlation form. The subject of the research were the 67 teachers of SMK Negeri 1 Bangli. By using proportional random sampling technique, 59 teachers were chosen as the sample. Data collection was conducted by using questionnaires for the headmaster leadership, achievement motivation, job satisfaction, and the teachers' performance variables. The variables were measured by using Likert Scale. The data analysis used simple and multiple regression supported by SPSS version 16.0 for windows. The result indicated that there were significant correlations between or among: (1) the headmaster leadership to the teachers' performance with the correlation coefficient (rx1y) 0.285, effective contribution (EC) 6.78 % and determination of 8,10 %, (2) achievement motivation to the teachers' performance with correlation coefficient (rx2y) 0.276, effective contribution (EC) 7,42 %, and determination of 7,60 %, (3) the teachers' job satisfaction to the teachers' performance with the correlation coefficient (rx3y) 0.339, effective contribution 11.16 % and determination of 11.50 %, (4) the headmaster leadership, achievement motivation, and job satisfaction to the teachers' performance at SMK Negeri 1 Bangli with correlation coefficient (rx123y) 0.156, effective contribution 25.36 % and determination 26.60 %. Based on the findings, it was indicated that the job satisfaction has brought the highest effective contribution to the teachers' performance at SMK Negeri 1 Bangli. The teachers' performance at SMK Negeri 1 Bangli could be influenced by the headmaster leadership, the achievement motivation, and the job satisfaction.
