Wedung Subdistrict is traversed by main river of Serang watershed which is Wulan River which estuary in Northern Coast of Java, rather in the coastal Subdistrict Wedung. The tendency of wulan river can create damage and environment pollution. the sedimentation in estuary river increased from another year to other. High sedimentation can be showed from high value of TSS in waters. TSS are solid materials, including organic and anorganic, that are suspended in the water. The value of total suspended solids concentration can lower the activity of photosynthetic marine plants both micro and macro that released oxygen plant to be reduced and result in fish being dead. According to the condition, this research took a title which is entitle Study The Distribution of Total Suspended Solid (TSS) in The Coastal Waters of Demak Using Landsat Imagery.The research using temporal data from landsat 7 imagery in 2003 and 2013 and landsat 8 in 2016. Then distribution value of TSS in every year is produced by the calculation of algorithm prior to the research that adapted to TSS insitu. The results which obtained from this research are the most suitable empirical algorithm for estimating TSS concertration in the coastal waters of Wedung Subdistrict. The equation are TSS= -140,8x + 913,8, and then map of TSS distribution in Demak in 2003, 2013 and 2016.
