Credit management is a very important matter for the financial agency which is entrusted to manage the fund starting from the issuance of credit to the finalization of credit. If management works favorably, then risk of defaulted credit is avoided and hereby, liquidity and profitability of BPR will improve. Credit management means that some functions of management are conducted such as planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising the credit. The objectives of research are to understand credit management applied by BPR and to acknowledge how credit management is effective to improve liquidity and profitability of BPR. Credit management applied at BPR is still less effective. Some performances of BPR are less optimal. Work region of BPR is not extensive. The analysis used to analyze customer candidate is only applying principles of character and collateral. Moreover, account officer's assignment is overburdened because account officer has double task. PT. BPR Wlingi Pahala Pakto may add their work region to compete against other companies around. BPR shall do analyzing customer candidate by applying the principle of 5C (character, capacity, capital, collateral and condition of economy) such that analysis is more effective.
