Abstract

Due to the health threat of the pandemic, the DepEd decided to bring education to the comfort of their homes as they continuously developed different learning modalities to ensure that education is accessible to all and to ensure the continuity of education. However, behind the good plans of Depart-ment of education for the betterment of every learner there are some challenges encountered during the implementation of Modular Distance Learning. This study conducted to determine the challenges ex-perienced by the grade seven (7) SSC of Aborlan National High School during the implementation of modular distance learn-ing. This study utilized descriptive quanti-tative research design to identify and de-scribe the challenges encountered by the learners in modular distance learning. The study employed different statistical tools such as frequency, percentage, mean, and rank. Based on the results obtained in the study, four major indicators are identified as the roots of the challenges encountered by the grade 7 SSC students, such indicators are time management, self-study/independent learning, learning resources/materials, and distribution and retrieval of modules.
