Abstract

An anxiety patient in a physical disorder gets nursing care using Stuart's model of stress adaptation approach. This theory model helps nurses in performing nursing care using nursing process approach including assessment, diagnosis, plan, implementation, and evaluation. Anxiety ranging from mild to panic levels has a high prevalence if not addressed can decrease productivity that threatens quality of life. This condition can certainly increase the prevalence of emotional disorders. Illustrations of Cases Patients with physical disorders including hypertension, diabetes mellitus, gout, gastritis, and arthritis have the highest psychosocial problems are anxiety, of which 30 are in adulthood, female sex, married status, have basic education background, and do not work Need to get thought-stopping therapy and progressive musculair relaxation to reduce symptoms and improve the ability to overcome anxiety. The choice of these two therapies is because all patients have wrong thoughts that affect all body systems. This report was first conducted on the community of RW 11 and 13 Kelurahan Ciparigi. Conclusions of thought stopping and progressive musculair relaxation have a positive impact on the patient's physical disorder and the development of mental nursing specialists in establishing optional therapy to reduce symptoms and improve ability, these two therapies are effective for patients with physical disorders with gout and arthritis.
